TOT! Sanding adapter for Festool ETS EC 150

tutorials Description

Loosen the wing nuts from the plexiglas base and remove the router with the plexiglas from the carriage.
Remove the sealing brushes from the carriage.
Attach the Festool ETS EC 150 to TOT! Sanding adapter, place the adapter with the sander into the carriage and tighten the wing nuts.
Always attach the extraction elbow, hose, and electrical cable to the sander before setting up the sander.
Otherwise, the set sander may move, and it will have to be set again.
Set the sander so that it sits freely on the workpiece with the entire surface of the sanding pad.

First, always tighten the nuts on the right side of the adapter with the adjusting nut wrench.
Then check again if the sanding pad rests properly on the workpiece. If so, tighten the nuts firmly on the left side as well.

Before sanding, draw control lines on the surface of the workpiece with a pencil or chalk.
Before sanding a surface, check the sander’s setting by sanding a small area about the diameter of the sanding pad, then move the sander away from the workpiece and turn the sander off.
If the sander on the control surface does not sand the entire surface of the pad, immediately stop sanding and set the sander to the correct position.
If the control surface is ground using the entire surface of the sanding pad, with the sander turned off, move 1/4 of the surface of the sanding pad onto the workpiece and turn on the sander.
After turning on the sander on the workpiece, move the sander immediately.
During sanding, do not move the entire sanding pad out of the workpiece.
If you accidentally leave the surface with the entire sanding pad while sanding, do not try to get the sander back onto the workpiece.
Switch off the sander, then, with the sander turned off, enter the workpiece 1/4 of the surface of the sanding plate, switch on the sander, and continue sanding.
If you are unsure of the sanding result, use a pencil or chalk to mark control lines on the workpiece while sanding.
Mark the control lines with a pencil or chalk on the workpiece every time you adjust the sander and every time you change the sanding paper.

When using the TOT! Sanding adapter for Festool ETS EC 150, we recommend using the TOT! Adjustable hose holder, which prevents the suction hose from accidentally changing the position of the adjusted sander.
